We are working hard to make sure all our customers know about any supermarket updates we have relating to COVID-19. As of Wednesday 18 March these are the supermarket updates. Please read through them carefully and take note of the changes.
ALDI has temporarily changed their opening hours and are open 9:30am to 7pm.
Coles is open from 7am to 8am for their “community hour” where the store opens exclusively to customers who hold a government-issued Pensioner Concession Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, Companion Card and Health Care Card. This is happening every day until Friday 20 March, after which their hours could change again. The rest of the public will be able to enter from 8am to 8pm.
Woolworths is open from 7am to 8am for customers with a relevant Government issued Pensioner Concession or Seniors Card until Saturday 21 March and Monday 23 March. They will be open from 10am to 11am on Sunday 22 March again with customers needing a Government issued Pensioner Concession or Seniors Card. The Rest of the public will be from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday.
With the changes to opening hours it is essential that customers form an orderly line keeping in mind social distancing. We also insist that nobody runs when stores open. Coles and Woolworths staff will be checking people’s relevant cards so please have these on your person and ready to show.
These temporary trading hours have been implemented to allow the stores time and space to conduct extensive cleaning and replenish stock. As well as allow their staff to take a break and look after themselves and their families
Each store has implemented quantity restrictions for high demand items. Please refer to the following websites for a list of these items:
These are very unprecedented times so we ask that you treat these customers and staff members with the courtesy and respect they deserve. No-one working or shopping in any of our stores should experience abusive or aggressive behaviour.
We also ask you to please think before you buy and only buy what you and your family need. If we all do this, then we can make sure there is enough for everyone.
